Are you trying to experiment more in the kitchen and learn how to make foods from different places around the world? But the foods seem too intimidating to make? Or maybe you are trying to learn how to cook foods from your culture? Regardless of what your culinary goals are, this is the recipe for you! It is super easy, requires barely any active effort, and turns out delicious every time!
Growing up my mom used to cook chicken in the pressure cooker. It would turn out so tender and was so easy to eat, which was important because I hated eating dry food and my brother was just picky lol. We loved when my mom would make chicken like this because it tasted amazing and allowed her to hang out with us while it was cooking. Now, I like making chicken like this because it is low maintenance and I can do other things while it cooks, like study or enjoy some of my other hobbies.
This chicken might be hard for some of you to make because of the ingredients required, I will put potential substitutions and some things you can leave out. I do recommend getting all the ingredients if you can though because a lot of these are typical spices used in Indian cuisine.
Kasoori methi is fenugreek leaves.
Substitutions:
•Coriander powder: can use cumin powder •Garam masala: leave out
•Cinnamon sticks: use 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
•Kasoori methi: dried celery
•Bay leaves: 1/2 tsp dried oregano
•Vegetarian: Use veggies, tofu, or paneer (cook for 10-15 minutes).
These replacements aren't perfect but they will do, if you can't find anything, just leave it out
This dish is perfect for the wintertime, to enjoy while it is cold outside. It is also perfect to make for family dinners. While it is cooking, you can work on the other stuff you'd like to make, and have an amazing meal! It is also perfect for meal prepping! I hope you make this recipe and enjoy it as much as me and my family do!
