Turkey burgers are great, same satisfaction of eating a burger, but so much healthier. The issue is, they can be somewhat tricky to get right because since they have less fat, it's easy for them to be dry. So how can you avoid this problem? Use my recipe and check out my tricks below!
One great way to get moist turkey burgers is to add vegetables that contain a lot of moisture. Shallots and onions are great for this. The added moisture prevents the meat from drying out. Mushrooms are also great as well as tomatoes. This adds more depth to the flavor profile and keeps the burgers juicy.
Another very important step is ADD FAT. This is the main way to keep things moist. I know it seems contradicting to add fat, when you're eating them because they are less fatty, but you don't have to add much. Loosely mix it in with the meat and it will really help.
Another tip is to add cheese to the meat mixture. This adds fat and keeps the patties nice and juicy while adding flavor. The cheese will melt and mix in with the ground meat helping to prevent it from drying out.
My final tip is to add yogurt to the meat mixture. This keeps moisture inside the patties! Seems a bit odd but it works and I definitely recommend you try this out!

Also the thicker the patty, the easier it is to not overcook it and dry it out.
