Flaky Nutella Banana Rolls

This one's really late...But remember how during quarantine, everyone was making banana bread? Well...This is so much better, so you should definitely try it out!

These are similar to scones because they're flaky, but they're so much more fun! The Nutella adds the perfect chocolatey, hazelnut flavor and the banana adds a mild flavor, but enhances the sweetness and moisture of the rolls!

Tips for making this recipe:

-Make sure your butter is COLD! leave it in the freezer overnight! I like to shred/crumble mine before freezing it, that way I don't warm it up to much when mixing it with the dough. The butter needs to be frozen and chunky when mixed with the dough because this is what helps create the flaky layers when baking! The butter melts and the water mixed with it evaporates, pushing space in between the dough, helping to make the crispy, airy flakes!

-Use cold ingredients to help keep the butter cold, like cold milk and eggs!

-Save the extra egg white to brush over the rolls before baking, it adds a little shine to them when they're done.

-Go wild with the Nutella! Use as much as you like

Let me know how you like them! They're a great dessert, and if you like eating sweets in the morning, they could be good for breakfast too! They're not overwhelmingly sweet and they don't have very much fat in them either! ENJOY!
