This is an easy take on a very popular Indian dish, chicken biryani. This is definitely nontraditional, but it is so easy and only requires 1 pot! Delicious food AND limited clean up? Why wouldn't you make this lol! It is so good, simple and makes a large quantity, perfect for a family/friend dinner or for meal prepping!
Traditional biryani does not use tomatoes, feel free to leave that one, just add more water accordingly. The rice is also, usually, cooked separately, and then added to the chicken and all the sauce. This recipe allows all the flavor to be soaked into the rice because it is all cooked together.
Overall this recipe turned out very well. I took care to make exact measurements so you guys would replicate it! Let me know what you think!
Possible substitutions:
• No chicken biryani masala (I recommend you try getting this)
You can use more of the other spices listed instead (1/2 of each spice for every 1 tsp missing)
•Vegetation:
Can use paneer, or any vegetables you like. Some I think would taste good: potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, tomatoes, and peas.
Let me know if you try the recipe and what you think! It is a lot easier than it seems! Enjoy! Your family, friends and belly will love you :)
